Brief: The audience was well educated and high cost influence. The research rejected any hard selling tactics and less than cache brides. The key was in supporting their company role and reducing risk in their venture investment decisions. The previously under valued catalogue of over 200 Energy Studies were re-organised, re-catagorised and modernised to become a useful tool to anyone needing instant access to field research.

The catalogue along with other benefits such as on-hand consultancy advise from on the road Account Managers who could help to interpret and even commission new studies, was a lever to persuade venture investors to opt in to receive regular communications about hot spots around the world, economic and political changes so that IHS Energy would remain the name in the industry over its incredibly long buying cycle. If a venture investor does want to drill for oil in Lybia you won’t persuade them to do so, all you can do remain under their nose until they do.
